• The following downloads are UPGRADES ONLY for English language versions of existing Boxford software and will not function as stand alone packages. Protected, Site License and Network software can be upgraded with these downloads.
• These upgrades will update software within the same Integer version number e.g. if you have any software with a 4.xx version number then you can download the latest version 4 upgrade.
• Version 5.x software can be upgraded to Version 6 by downloading the relevant version 6 file.
• Foreign language upgrades, and, with the exception of version 5 to 6, upgrades from one integer version to another (e.g. 3.xx to 4.xx) are not available from this site and are factory issued items. Please contact Boxford directly for more details.
• If you wish to upgrade from Version 6 or previous versions to the latest CAD/CAM DESIGN TOOLS full Windows software then your machine may require a hardware upgrade. Please contact Boxford directly for more details.

Identifying your current software version - back to top

Below is an example of 'CAD/CAM DESIGN TOOLS' To establish the current version, select Help - About. The version number is the 'Release Build' number.
Below is an example of the front end to version 5.x and 6.x Software. The version number is clearly visible in the top left-hand corner.		Below is a screenshot from version 4.x Software. It's version number is visible in the bottom left-hand corner.

When the Boxford software is run the version number can be identified as shown above.

Windows 7 Compatability - Version 5.73.2 onwards.
Windows Vista Compatability - Version 5.28.1 onwards.

If your current version is 5.xx.x, then download the V10_584_2.zip file and unzip. Burn the contents to a DVD-R to create a new application installation DVD.
To upgrade your installation, insert and run the‘CAD/CAM DESIGN TOOLS’ DVD (for Remote Server installations, use the ‘NetAdmin’ utility and select the red arrow).
A screen is shown displaying three options. Select the ‘REPAIR’ option. The installation will automatically be updated.

Additionally, if your machine is currently connected to the PC via a USB interface, download the USB_6_100a.zip file and unzip. Run the file BoxfordUSBDriver.exe. If prompted to remove current drivers, select YES.

If you are running versions 1.xx.x to 4.xx.x, then please contact our customer service department support@boxford.co.uk

These downloads are full disk sets with the exception of the licensing and tooling information. Simply download and execute to unzip the file and replace the licence.dat and offsets.dat files with those from your current installation or disk set.
Note: If you do not have a licence.dat file or currently use a key disk, download the file DRDOS.zip and extract to the route of C drive. This will override the licencing protection.

Download the relevant upgrade *.exe file and execute it. The upgrade files will self inflate to a directory of your choice creating images of each disk making up the full set.
DON'T FORGET to replace the licence.dat and offsets.dat files in the downloads with those from your current installation or disk set.

Windows 95A and 95B users will need to download the file Win95 Patches.exe and follow the instructions in the included readme file.

If you are downloading the DUET or MT2 upgrade, you may also want to download the latest Mill Design software upgrade.

Please note, DUET Off-line software is for systems that cannot be allowed to shut down Windows and boot up in DOS mode. There are no manufacture functions available. For fully featured DUET software,download the Manufacture version.

Current 'Mill Design' (Techsoft ) Upgrades available - back to top

Mill Design is an Integral Part of 'CAD/CAM DESIGN TOOLS', V5 and V6 versions of Mill and Router software.
Download the relevant upgrade *.exe file and execute it. The upgrade files will self inflate to a directory of your choice creating images of each disk making up the full set.

Remember your will need your original Techsoft Mill Design Registration Disk to install these upgrades.

This driver allows older Laser systems to operate on Window Vista. Window 98 is no longer supported.
