However user friendly CAD/CAM systems might be, a degree of hand-holding is required by all teachers and technicians in order to become sufficiently confident and proficient to be able to teach students. That support is required beyond the time of initial training.

In our UK home schools market, Boxford is unique in providing initial training on the customer's site, included within the cost of the equipment. Furthermore, our customer service engineers return to the school at regular intervals during the first 3 years of the machine's life. This level of service is highly acclaimed by our customers. Our help-desk is manned during term time and more. This service is also free of charge, even beyond the 3 years when onsite support ceases.

We hold regularly scheduled one-day courses at our factory for the benefit of those schools having equipment upgraded. Customers with new machines can join these courses for extra tuition beyond that administered on site.

We are using the internet increasingly to enhance support via the use of email and to post software updates on our web-site for downloading at a time convenient to the customer. We also use video-conferencing as a support tool.

Boxford is an accredited trainer in the UK's "CAD/CAM in Schools" initiative and we have become a well-respected trainer for Pro/DESKTOP, ArtCAM and MiniCAM, which are readily available to UK schools. Our expertise in CAM and manufacturing in general allow us to cover the full CAD/CAM training in a single course.
