Boxford Lasers show visitors the route to better value at inaugural Sign Link Live 2017 show.

October 2017

Once again our range of ‘value’ laser cutters had another fantastic response at the recent Sign Link Live Show.

As always, its highly interesting for us to discuss customers individual requirements and the endless applications that our customers find for our Laser Cutters and Engravers.

Our fully enclosed  A3HSRmi2 Router was also well received as it demonstrated a hard wood sign, created on Vectric’s Aspire software, being smoothly and accurately machined.
With the shows ‘Craftsman’s Corner’ feature just across from our stand, the skilled hand carver was as interested in the computer controlled method as we were in their exceptional hand skills.

Inspirations2017_3What is the ‘Inspirations’ event?

An annual showcase event dedicated to celebrating young people’s achievements in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) as well as innovation and enterprise. Over 1,000 students (aged 11-19) and teachers from across the North Yorkshire region take part in fun and interactive activities, linking classroom learning with real career opportunities.

The event aims to promote and celebrate STEM studies and related careers, with opportunities to take part in ‘hands on’ workshops and challenges. Students are at the heart of the event displaying their ideas, projects and prototypes to our expert judges recruited from business.

At the core of this event is a real celebration of achievement – young people are put at the heart of this event, displaying their ideas, whether STEM or Enterprise projects and prototypes created within education or outside.  Over 80 judges awarded 50 prizes to students with projects in areas such as engineering, graphics, electronics, textiles, sustainability and innovation.
