Bench height – Core design
Designed in 1993 and with a programme of review and upgrades the range is at the core of our designs.
We have created a dynamic entry profile which gives the user extra head height/increased eye line and a better control of the workspace.

Available in economic widths of – 1000 / 1200 / 1500 / 1800 / 2000 / 2200mm

Active Chamber Materials
All units take various internal linings and worktops:
Pvc / Polyprop / Stainless Steel / Solid Laminate

User Protection
Splash and Explosion:
All units have Armoured Safety Glass user protection.
The ‘sash’ can be raised vertically and/or horizontally.

Chamber containment
We provide guaranteed ‘in location’ containment of 0.01ppm (sf6/miran challenge) across the face of the operational sash opening.
This level is a factor of 10 better than that indicated as the base threshold within BS 7258.

Under bench hazard storage: Ventilated
All bench fume cupboards will accept our ventilated hazard storage.
The units have a fully welded steel body, twin skinned doors, locks, intumescent seals and internal tray.
The detail is compliant with petroleum storage requirements.

Air Flow Monitor Control
With the support of our mechanical and electronic design colleagues from within our large Engineering Group we have produced an air flow monitor and support panel which is second to none.
Function, performance and presentation provide the user with a panel unique to Protex.

Air flow monitor – BMS integration – message display – sash high – low flow alarm – extract control.
LOW LEVEL
Low Level – Core Design
Designed to compliment our bench designs and with the added flexibility to accept user process/production needs.
The dynamic entry profile has been maintained for both sash heights, which gives the user a level of containment protection equal to that of our ‘bench’ chambers.

Dimensions
Available in economic widths of – 1000 / 1200 / 1500 / 1800 / 2000 / 2200mm

Worktop Height
Are available in heights to serve the process from 250mm upto 510mm without affecting the user protection threshold.

SCRUBBER
Bench height [With Integral Acid Scrubber ] - Core Design
Designed in 1996 and with a programme of review and upgrades, the range is at the core of our designs.
We have created a fume cupboard complete with an integral acid scrubbing system to combine the benefits of the high containment fume cupboard with an acid scrubber. The scrubber is located at the back of the chamber, directly in the contaminated extract stream and protects the fan and ducting from corrosion.

Acid Scrubber system
Performance assessed by Porton Down [UK Government Development Laboratory]
Formal Evaluation – With active exhaust system/face velocity at 0.5m/per sec.

Perchloric Acid 99.2% Hydrofluoric Acid 98.8%

Airflow monitor – A high grade hot wire sensor with very low deviation.

BMS integration – 0 to 10 Volt or volt free responds and integrates our systems to the Building Management Control.

Notice Board messages display – A Protex service which enables safety and other messages to be illuminated on each fume cupboard monitor panel for other users.

Sash high – Standard BS7258 requirement.

Low flow alarm – Provides accurate airflow status with minimum deviation.

Extract control – Fume extract control with facility to manage multi-function filter systems, power dampers and variable speed extract.
