Boxford have been supplying manufacturing systems to makers, designers, industry and education for over 70 years and have also been laser experts for over 20 years. Our engineers take care of the whole delivery, installation and commissioning process for you, giving you fully up and running machines on the day of delivery. We can even provide an in-depth training session if required, to help you to get started as quickly as possible. Pre-configured and fully editable machine settings, covering a range of cutting, engraving, welding and cleaning settings, also means you will have tested parameters to use right from the off, lessening the learning curve when operating your new machine.
We stock all spare parts and consumables from our factory in Halifax, West Yorkshire and have on-site engineers covering the whole of mainland UK. This means that no matter what the issue, big or small, our knowledgeable team have you covered! We can provide technical assistance by phone, email and remote access, as well as offering on-site laser repairs and servicing at incredibly affordable costs to help keep your machine running smoothly.
Can I buy a machine from Boxford direct?
Yes. All of our machines are available to buy directly from Boxford, if you are a customer based on the UK mainland.
If you require a machine and you are based in another country, please still get in touch and our team can put you in contact with a trusted re-seller in your area.
What warranty do you offer?
Boxford offer a 12 month on-site parts and labour warranty on new all CO2 laser cutters, M-Series lasers, fibre marking lasers, laser welding machines and CNC machines.
We offer a 2 year warranty on all new Fibre Laser Cutting Machines.

Do you offer machine demonstrations?
We always welcome customers to visit our factory in West Yorkshire, to see our machines working first-hand before you buy. Our experienced team can help with any questions and even produce samples on the day.
Are you able to provide samples?
Of course! If you are unable to visit our factory for whatever reason, you can send us some samples in the post to prove that our machine is the right piece of equipment for the job. We will then post the samples back to you free of charge once they’re ready. Please contact our sales team to find out more.
Do Boxford deliver and install?
We can take care of the full delivery and installation process for you, across our entire machine range. Please request a machine quote for full details from one of our product pages. Our team of highly skilled on-site service engineers can deliver anywhere in mainland UK, using our fleet of specialist delivery vehicles.
We have invested in equipment to make our installations run as smoothly as possible. Our engineers will have with them all of the tools they need to ensure your delivery happens on time, safe and worry free.
Do you deliver outside of the UK mainland?
If you require delivery outside of the UK mainland, please still contact us for further details. We have trusted and dedicated Boxford machine re-sellers all over the world, who can not only deliver and install your machine, but also offer ongoing support.
Do you offer training?
Boxford engineers can give you a training session on your machine, on the day of delivery to UK mainland. Please request an on-site training session when asking for a machine quote. During this session we will cover machine and software operation, as well as some maintenance to help you to look after your machine.
Can I collect a machine from Boxford?
All of our machines can be made available for collection. Please just bear in mind that when our team of engineers deliver our machines, we ensure that they are full working and calibrated once installed. For example, when collecting a CO2 laser cutting and engraving machine, the machine may need some post-transit mirror alignment, to ensure it is cutting and engraving to the highest quality!
Do you offer machine repairs and servicing?
Our dedicated team of engineers can be called out to service or repair your machine at any stage. We offer extremely affordable call outs anywhere in mainland UK. Please contact us for a quote if you require a call out.
Do you offer any remote technical support?
Our service does not end once you have had your machine delivered. Neither does our support stop, even when your warranty period is over. Our dedicated customer service team, based in West Yorkshire, UK are always on the other end of the phone Monday to Friday, if you have a technical question or need advice. We can provide support by telephone, email and even Teamviewer for more in-depth technical assistance.
Can Boxford machines be used by schools, colleges and universities?
Boxford have been a supplier of machines to education for over 70 years. This means we are driven to make equipment that is not only compact and easy to use, but also some of the safest on the market. We include various training guides with our machines to get you up and running as soon as possible. Having been a proud member and sponsor of the D&T association for many years, as well as supporting events such as Scalextric4Schools and The Big D&T Meet, Boxford are passionate about the many skills which can be taught using our machines.
Can Boxford machines be used as production machines for industry?
Boxford machines are used in various industrial and manufacturing settings all over the world. For example, some of the high profile customers running our fire laser systems include: Ocado Manufacturing, Safran Nacelles Aerospace, The Ministry of Defence and Leon Paul London.
Can I buy a machine for use at home?
Some of our smaller machines, such as CO2 laser cutters and engravers can be installed in home workshops, sheds and even garages. There are hundreds of hobbyists and smaller creative businesses using Boxford machines worldwide, to enhance their creative output! Many of our machines are capable of running from a standard 13A plug socket you would find at home, making them easy to set up without the need for an electrician!

Do I need a chiller with my Boxford CO2 laser?
Absolutely, yes! What makes Boxford stand out from the crowd, is that all of our CO2 lasers come included with a fully integrated chiller as standard. This saves on valuable workshop space and ensures your laser system is safe and even easier to use. Your machine will arrive on-site, fully filled with a special mix of de-ionised water and anti-fungal/anti-corrosive solution, ensuring the longevity of your investment.
Do I need an air compressor with my Boxford CO2 laser?
We also include a fully integrated air compressor as standard, ensuring you can cut safely and protect against flames and fire damage with software controlled air assist.
What software can I use with a Boxford CO2 laser?
The Boxford BGL range of CO2 laser cutters come with Lightburn laser software as standard, which is extremely intuitive and easy to use. We also include a fully tested material parameter library, which can be edited as you begin to expand the range of materials you process.
Can I use a camera with my Boxford CO2 laser?
The entire Boxford BGL range of CO2 laser cutters are fitted with a 4K Lightburn compatible camera as standard, allowing you to quickly and easily position your artwork and even image trace to create vector files from scratch. The same camera also makes a very handy in-program monitoring system!
Do I need a fume extraction system with my Boxford CO2 laser?
All laser cutters produce dust and fumes which can be harmful to the operator if not dealt with properly. As standard, all Boxford CO2 laser cutters will be supplied with a basic extraction fan and ducting for external venting. However, if you would prefer to have a fully self-contained laser system with filtration, we can provide a filtered extraction system suited to the size of your machine and airflow rate required. Please ask a member of our team if you are unsure if you require a filtered extraction system.
I only have a single doorway, can you still deliver?
Many of our machines can be disassembled prior to delivery, to allow them to fit through small doorways. Please get in touch with our team if you are unsure whether a certain machine model will fit where you would like it to be installed.
