Each November, communities across the UK pause to honour those who served, sacrificed, and shaped the freedoms we hold today. This year, one of our customers chose to commemorate Armistice Day in a unique and meaningful way, by creating beautifully crafted wooden remembrance crosses using their Boxford BGL350 laser cutter.
The project, simple in concept but powerful in sentiment, used the precision and reliability of the BGL350. With the machine, our customer was able to produce a large batch of uniform wooden crosses, each cleanly cut and ready for painting, engraving, and placement within local remembrance displays.
Even on natural materials like plywood, the machine delivers crisp, consistent results, ensuring every piece reflects the respect and dignity the occasion deserves. Alongside the video, we’ve also included a photo of the finished crosses, a moving visual reminder of how creativity and technology can come together to honour history.
Laser cutters aren’t just tools for industry; they’re instruments for education, community work, and meaningful personal projects. Whether producing signage, artwork, or, like here, tributes of remembrance, Boxford users continue to find new ways to make an impact.
The BGL350 is especially popular for projects like this thanks to its compact footprint, intuitive software, and impressive cutting capability. From schools to small businesses and community organisations, it offers a reliable and accessible way to bring ideas to life with precision and speed.
We’re proud to have played a small part in this Remembrance project, and even prouder of the creative individuals at His Church who use our machines to support causes that matter.
